Back-to-School: Lookbook

I'm a bit late with all the back-to-school series things, but here it is. I know a lot of schools can wear any clothes or have a full uniform but at my sixth form we have a dress code that says you have to be dressed smart, so either way, here's some ideas for you anyway!

I am fully aware of how cringey an iPhone-mirror selfie is and I am suitably ashamed of these pictures of myself...but as I seem to be late EVERY morning, this is the easiest way to get a photo of my outfit!

1. Glasses shirt: Forever 21
Black trousers: Primark
Moustache shoes: Primark
Glasses and moustache necklace: Topshop

2. Sheer top with vest: American Eagle
Brown Skirt with belt: Primark
Cream frill socks: Topshop
Bag: Primark
The brogues are from a small shop near where I live

3. Sheer shirt: Fashion Avenue
Black Vest: Tesco
Cat print skirt: H&M
Black "cosy" tights: Primark
I NEED those tights in my life, they have a soft lining of brushed cotton and are SO warm! I wore them skiing and they kept me warm (well as warm as you can be in -14 degrees celcius...in the snow...on top of a mountain...)

4. Black coat: Primark
Top: see outfit 2
Assymetric skirt: H&M
And my cosy tights have made another appearance!

5. Stripey shirt: H&M
Trousers: see outfit 1
I did wear shoes -although I don't appear to have put them on yet!

6. Blue shimmery dress with brown belt: Primark (in the kid's section)
Blue and brown loafers: Primark
Blue spotty bag: Primark

7. Top: see outfit 2
Brown with shimmery thread skirt: Topshop
Silver belt: New Look
The scarf I "borrowed" from my Mum's wardrobe (hehehe...)
Although, on this day I was told my outfit was innapropriate as my skirt was "too short" and "too sparkly" (can't say i disagree to be honest) so yeah maybe don't try this one...

8. Glasses shirt: see outfit 1
Black skater skirt: eBay

9. Green floral dress: Primark
Cardigan: Depop
Cream frill socks: see outfit 2
Brogues: see outfit 2
Bag: see outfit 2
And I made the flower headband

That's a few of my outfits over the last few weeks then! PEACE ✌

Outfit of the Day: Don't stop the party!

Black Peplum Top: Miss Selfridge: £10 sale price
Extra long Black leggings: New Look: £7.99
Black fluffy handbag: Paul's Boutique:

Today's outfit of the day is a more formal/evening look that I very recently wore to my friends birthday meal out. I went for an all black outfit with a black leather jacket, fluffy oversized handbag and worker boots. Wearing all black can transform a rather casual outfit of the same garments from a casual daytime, relaxed look to a night-time, much more formal and sophisticated look, also another bonus to wearing black is that it is said to be one of the most slimming colours.
I love the shape that peplum style tops create, the skirt like frill at the bottom expands at the waist highlighting and drawing the eye to the slimmest part of the main body
The leggings from New Look are mega comfy and come in extra long which suits me perfectly as they actually become too long, although most short people probably won't appreciate how nice it actually is to have trousers/ jeans/ leggings etc that are too long, when you've been wearing trousers that are a few inches too short for years and covering them up with boots, extra long leggings become very exciting!
My bag like I've mentioned in other posts is a limited edition Paul's Boutiques from a few years ago, minus the dodgy luminous key ring, (nicknamed "Jennifur"), this always surprised people as Paul's Boutique doesn't have the best reputation anymore.
I decided to contrast my all black look with Barry M's bright glittery red nail varnish and matching lipstick made by GOSH (shade 60 Lambada), the colour is very bright and usually I don't wear bright lipsticks but it matched the nails nicely and had to be done! Erin borrowed some as well and to be honest I think we totally "rocked it"! :)

Also we managed to get a picture of the 2 of us where we both looked decent, this is actually quite rare for us as one of us is usually pulling some weird pose or has their eyes shut and hair all over the place, so after searching through hundreds of rather disappointing photos we found this. Was a pretty proud moment for us!

Outfit Of The Day: CraZy CraZy CraZy till we see the sun!

Not the most formal "outfit of the day", but here is my outfit for New Years Eve:
Cropped cream knit jumper from Hollister, this jumper is really soft and very comfortable even after washing, it goes with most trousers, shorts, skirts etc and the sleeves are a nice length for my extra long arms.

Black velvet type material shorts from Forever 21, got these in the sale for £4.99 (BARGAIN!), simple design but go great with tights for in the winter and would match most t-shirts in the summer.
Black oversized furry handbag with brown straps, I actually got this bag for Christmas a few years ago from Paul's Boutique (*Cringe* I know), although I am usually against the Paul's Boutique brand while looking on their website for my cousins present I saw this, and unlike most of their products it wasn't luminous green or orange with PAUL'S BOUTIQUE plastered on every square inch, so once removing the weird colourful pom pom keyring it came with you can't even tell where it's from, and quite a lot of people usually comment on how nice it is!

My bracelet is quite "jazzy" with a row of silver sparkly beads in a black thread, my friends mum actually made this for me but you can get them in most places now in most colours for quite cheap prices.

Anyway so that was my New Years Eve outfits, while some people were in pubs getting drunk we went for a rather different approach for seeing in the new year, we ended up putting on the onesies, watching the Alan Carr special, listening to One Direction, eating chocolate, trying on Erin's wardrobe and we even ended up sticking on some fake moustaches Erin got for Christmas.... as you do!

Last Evening of 2012 well spent I think :)

A Whole Lotty Spotty

I wore this outfit shopping a little while ago, and s'all matchy-matchy, which I am like obsessed with.

So, I wore.....
Navy blue polka dot shorts with a thin brown belt that has a gold clasp (Primark) I think they were about £10 which is quite good as they're a nice shape and style as well as fashionable colour and pattern.
Brown Leather Jacket (H&M) I love this jacket soooo much, I got it for my birthday earlier this year and it just goes with absolutely everything! Also it is surprisingly warm in winter yet cool in summer. It has zip details on the cuffs and buckles at the waist as well as decorative quilting on the shoulders -all of these aspects make the jacket more interesting and even look more expensive.
Blue Polka Dot Bag With Brown Leather-Look Straps this bag's pattern goes exactly with the shorts and the brown straps brings in the brown from the jacket and belt.
I also wore a plain white vest (the colour of the spots)

For accessories I had...
Navy Blue Loafers With Brown Leather Panels And Gold Chain Decoration these obviously go with the blue and brown in my outfit
A Gold Chain Like Bracelet (H&M) this chunky bracelet is exactly like the chain on my shoes so it matches them
White Pearly Bracelet and Ring, I wore these because they are basically white spots -following the theme of white polka dots.

And Make Up...
I painted my nails dark blue, and as I went shopping in the evening after being out with just mascara on all day, I added navy blue eyeliner and a light brown lipstick (all matching my outfit's colours)

Because it was November-ish when I went out, of course I had skin coloured tights on. Only thing was...it took me ages to realise I actually had my shorts on backwards...Awkward!

Another Outfit of the day -Duck jumper!

So today's outfit looks like this...

I wore this outfit to shopping in Oxford Street London, so I was outside in the cold all day and surprisingly apart from my hands I was quite warm! (And I bought some gloves anyway so it was all good)!

The jumper is black with purple and orange ducks on, if you described it to me I would think how horrible but it actually looks alright! It's from Miss Selfridge and was £39, and once again the sleeves were long enough for me  which was good (being quite tall)!

The skirt is a mini leather skater box pleat lookalike skirt from Boohoo.com, it's actually really warm even though it's really short, especially if you wear it with tights (like I did).If you are taller than 5ft10 I wouldn't suggest getting it as it is quite short unless you like that sort of thing. It cost me only £12, quite good value!

My boots are fake black ugg boots that I bought years ago from Marks&Spencer (awkward I know), but they were only £15, and they were sooo comfy andwarm and you can't tell they are from there anyway so I count that as acceptable. Also they do good food in there, so don't diss M&S alright? ahahaa

Outfit of the day -Autumn- Love for the jumpers!

So today is my dads birthday HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD! And being November it is that coldish and slightly rainy weather where you look weird if you wear a massive coat with gloves, hats and scarves etc but it's too cold to have short sleeves and a skirt so I decided on a jumper, jeans, brogues and a black leather jacket as we were only going Shopping and out to lunch at this cafe.

My jumper is from Miss Selfridge and was £39, I got size 8 and I'm quite tall (5ft 10) and the sleeves fit me fine, so many shops don't cater for people with long arms it's frustrating.

My jeans are from a make called "Villa" and are grey and white leopard print style. I'd never actually heard of the make Villa jeans before I bought them, I had been looking for some jeans that were long enough for my legs but still were a bit different and interesting for a few month now, I had kind of given up when someone suggested having a look at the brands section in House Of Fraser so I went in and had a look and found these. They were 34inch length (the tallest they went up to) and they actually reached my ankles which is always good. I got size small and that fit me having a size 26 inch waist, so I'm guessing small is about a size 8 UK. I've washed them a few times now and they haven't shrunk or faded at all so I'm pretty sure they are a qualitatively make.

Trying to get shoes to go with these jeans isn't easy especially as I only have one pair of black shoes which are suitable to wear in winter on a day to day basis, so I decided to wear some brown brogues from New Look (£15), It wasn't a perfect match but it still went, to be honest brogues go with almost everything so it was fine.

And last because it was raining I decided to wear my black leather jacket from New Look that I bought a few years ago, not to sure on the price but New Look aren't expensive and they usually sell black leather jackets at this time of the year so if you wanted one I would suggest there.

In the end I'm glad I wore the jacket because while I was out it started raining and anyone with thick frizzy hair knows even the smallest bit of rain can make hair look like a complete disaster, so yes the hood saved me there! :)

Autumn Evening Outfit

Sooooo i went to the Breaking Dawn part 2 UK premiere in Leicester square....the dress code said smart/casual (smasual!) and I wore this...a green/yellow shorts-suit
I wore it with black tights and wedges which went well because of the black trim on the shorts suit!
My Outfit
My Make Up and Hair
First i tried the outfit on with a floral top but it looked too much so i searched for ages for my black sheer shirt which i couldnt find so i wore a top that i bought in h&m recently that has two swans on the front on a pink background (around £10) but i wore it back to front so all you could see was the plain black side which has buttons down it -that worked well
My bag is from yeaaarrrsss ago it used to be my mum's and it Gucci but I've used it so much its really tattered but i still love it sooo :)
My Jewelery
For jewellery I had large gold square earrings with yellow pieces in the middle (H&M) and a ring with pastel coloured flowers on it (from forever 21)
I forgot to paint my nails which was sad cos i had a nail varnish from Collection 2000's make up range that pretty much exactly matches my shorts and jacket
For make up i had a bronze and a brown eye-shadow on with black liquid eyeliner and lots of mascara and a dark wine coloured lipstick and I had my hair straight and with a middle parting
I really liked the outfit and it was SMASUAL!

The top I wore back-to-front

My outfit today! A/W style

Me in LAAANNNDAANNN!
Yo! So this is what i wore today to London!
The skirt is from Primark it was £10
The shirt i ordered online about a year ago, cant remember what the shop was called,
The boots are from Barratts i think about £20 but I've had them about 2 years, but they're just worker boots and sold everywhere,
The leather jacket is from Littlewoods and again I've had it ageeeesss,
My Nails! -I painted to match my skirt
I also had skin coloured tights on and long black socks (new look -i think)
And i had a ring that had a white bow and a black flower on it and a black moustache shaped ring (i have a lot of moustachy jewellery!) and a sparkly dog shaped broach clipped into the collar of my shirt, i have also worn a bow shaped sparkly broach in the collar before today.
My nails were painted by me in similar pattern to my skirt by painting them white and using a black nail art pen.
Moustache Knuckle Duster (Two Finger) Ring
Oh i also had a belt on from H&M and a black bag from new look which was £25
And my earrings matched the broach's jewels -like diamondy!
I much prefer dressing myself in summer than winter but i went for all black and white and i was actually quite warm while walking around today! Because my skirt was short and i had long socks on, i buttoned my shirt up all the way.
The only thing was i got loads of holes my tights :(
The best skin coloured tights are Tesco's or Superdrug's! They look natural and don't ladder easily!

Autumn outfit of today!

Taken in Liverpool Street station!
We have decided to blog about any outfits we think go well when we put them together so here is our first one out in Liverpool Street Station London. I guess it would be cool if we took pictures of other peoples outfits we like in the street but it would be kind of awkward to go and ask random people so we'll probably stick to ours at the moment hahaha.

So my outfit is all from New Look today which is quite surprising because I don't own that many clothes from New Look. New Look is good  because it is quite cheap and not that bad quality, the brogues come in brown or black and wide fit and normal fit, I bought them recently and they cost me £15.
The leggings are simple black ordinary ones, I got them in extra long as I am 5ft10 and they fit perfectly, New Look is the only place where I can find leggings long enough to fit me without being over priced, they were about £12 I think!
The dress I bought about 4 years ago from the Generation section (teen section) and recently found, it is too short to wear just as a dress for me but with leggings is great, can't remember the price but I like the colours especially with the black of the leggings and blazer.
The blazer is a black waterfall blazer with 3/4 length arms, I bought this about 6 months ago and it cost me around £25, the sleeves are ruffled slightly at the end, I wore the blazer for some work experience and it looked professional enough for what I wanted, however it isn't very warm and I was kind of cold outside today.
Yep so I guess that's the first outfit blog over....awhhh :/
