Winter Wishlist

I went shopping with my friend yesterday and as usual, my brain disagrees with my purse on what I want to buy and what I actually can buy...which means I build up quuuuuiiite a long mental wish list while I'm out.

So, definitely top of my wish list for winter is THIS dress...

It's a structured dress, it almost feels as if it has firm foam inside it which holds the shape of the skirt fairly stiff. The top has panels and a high neckline with an a-line skirt.

The dress is delicately glittery and just looks metallic and shiny (which I think looks better than tons of glitter that's in your face like BAM and you look like you've been dragged backwards through the cast of TOWIE's dressing room....) It is bronze but looks gold or rose gold under different light.

As always, please excuse the 'mirror selfie', it's the best I could do in the changing rooms. Oh -and ignore the fact that I couldn't be bothered to take my jeans off before putting it on!

I can't actually stop rambling about this dress, I really love it...

It is from Topshop, I shouldn't let myself near that shop! I always want EVERYTHING. The price of it was £65.00

I'll stop now...and just go and dream about this dress, and probably window shop online on Topshop's website...

OOTD: You're on a different road, I'm in the milky way... :)

Today I seem to be rocking the granny shoes and socks look...

Dress: Forever 21
Top: Hype
Cardigan: Depop
Shoes: Topshop
Socks: Boots

I have worn these shoes a lot since I bought them, they've appeared in my last three OOTD posts now! So yes, I like them quite a lot! And Topshop has them in different colours... 😏
The flower garland in my hair was something that my friend gave me yesterday, and I really like it but I'm not sure where it's from. Although there's a stall in camden and I think they sell online too, called PoppyDaisy that have really nice flower headbands like this one 😊

Back-to-School: Lookbook

I'm a bit late with all the back-to-school series things, but here it is. I know a lot of schools can wear any clothes or have a full uniform but at my sixth form we have a dress code that says you have to be dressed smart, so either way, here's some ideas for you anyway!

I am fully aware of how cringey an iPhone-mirror selfie is and I am suitably ashamed of these pictures of myself...but as I seem to be late EVERY morning, this is the easiest way to get a photo of my outfit!

1. Glasses shirt: Forever 21
Black trousers: Primark
Moustache shoes: Primark
Glasses and moustache necklace: Topshop

2. Sheer top with vest: American Eagle
Brown Skirt with belt: Primark
Cream frill socks: Topshop
Bag: Primark
The brogues are from a small shop near where I live

3. Sheer shirt: Fashion Avenue
Black Vest: Tesco
Cat print skirt: H&M
Black "cosy" tights: Primark
I NEED those tights in my life, they have a soft lining of brushed cotton and are SO warm! I wore them skiing and they kept me warm (well as warm as you can be in -14 degrees celcius...in the snow...on top of a mountain...)

4. Black coat: Primark
Top: see outfit 2
Assymetric skirt: H&M
And my cosy tights have made another appearance!

5. Stripey shirt: H&M
Trousers: see outfit 1
I did wear shoes -although I don't appear to have put them on yet!

6. Blue shimmery dress with brown belt: Primark (in the kid's section)
Blue and brown loafers: Primark
Blue spotty bag: Primark

7. Top: see outfit 2
Brown with shimmery thread skirt: Topshop
Silver belt: New Look
The scarf I "borrowed" from my Mum's wardrobe (hehehe...)
Although, on this day I was told my outfit was innapropriate as my skirt was "too short" and "too sparkly" (can't say i disagree to be honest) so yeah maybe don't try this one...

8. Glasses shirt: see outfit 1
Black skater skirt: eBay

9. Green floral dress: Primark
Cardigan: Depop
Cream frill socks: see outfit 2
Brogues: see outfit 2
Bag: see outfit 2
And I made the flower headband

That's a few of my outfits over the last few weeks then! PEACE ✌

OOTD: I got chills, they're multiplyin'!

Apart from literally feeling winter approaching....I felt kinda 50s-ish in this outfit, which explains the title for this post! And here it is...

Jumper: Primark
Shoes: Topshop
Socks: Primark
And the jeans are actually jeggings from Primark a very long time ago...I roll up the bottoms (yes, because I'm too short for anything) but it actually does make them look more expensive.

As always, thanks for reading and hope you like it! MWAH!

OOTD: Bye Summer!

As sad as it is, summer is actually ending... :( But any excuse for an outfit of the day, huh!

I got most of this outfit when I went shopping in London yesterday to Camden, Covent Garden and Oxford Street, it was really good but now my feet are literally dead! It was a good mix of places to go as there are all the quirky unique things in Camden, high street shops in Oxford Street (even though I spent the whole time in Topshop) and Covent Garden has odd but cool shops! And I did stop off at Stratford Westfield on the way home because I was too lazy to find some of the shops I wanted in Oxford Street!
But by far, the best part of the day was having lunch at The Whole Foods Market! It was the first time I have actually eaten in there as before all I have done is spend half my day drooling over all the cakes, fruit, salad and uh just everything in there...I'm getting hungry just typing this!

Jumper: Gilly Hicks
Shorts: Topshop
Frill socks: Topshop
Shoes: Topshop
Bag: Old edition Radley

And I just clipped my hair back like this! :) Thanks for reading, hope you liked it!

OOTD: Topshop

An Outfit of the Day mostly from Topshop...

Crop Top: Topshop
Denim Midi Skirt: Topshop
Frill Top Socks: Topshop
Ankle Boots: Amazon.com

Pearl Earrings: Dorothy Perkins

Who doesn't love Topshop, right!?

Outfit of the Day...and Yay for the first sunny bank holiday ever!

that's me, demonstrating my...erm....swag?

This is my OOTD from last Monday which was SUNNY!!! WOOOO! Unless you live in England, you probably won't understand how amazing this moment was but...it was seriously like the first EVER sunny and fairly warm bank holiday!
So i took full advantage of the rare oppertunity to wear a summery outfit and it felt so good! :)

I wore.....
a flowery crop top from Topshop (it is actually a pyjama top but it's waaayyy too nice to wear to bed so yeah I wear it out!)
my denim jacket is from American Eagle (I have blogged about it before: http://sparklybluesandrainbowshoes.blogspot.co.uk/2013/03/denim-jacket.html )
floral bodycon skirt with a zip down the front from H&M
flowery box bag from Primark
and nude coloured loafers from Next

I actually liked this outfit once I had it on but I sort of just put random things together and changed a few bits as I was going along until I got to this. It is unusual for me not to have things match each other's colour and pattern cos I am like obsessed with matchy-matchy things! But I sort of broke away from that a bit (for me) and in this case, I liked it :)
Yep...I look quite excited about my loafers!

Trend: Comic Book Print

POW~~~~BOOM~~~~ZAP

Comic book print has been really popular since the new year and all the high street shops like Topshop have had loads of stuff in this style

One of the pieces in this style is this bodycon skirt from Topshop with animated words on it
Then the other comic trend is like an actual cartoon strip like these leggings from Polyvore.com
Personally I love this style and was happy to find all these clothes in the last five or six months!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In June last year, I made this dress :) I had thought about a dress in a comic strip style for a really long time but then I found this AMAZEBALLS fabric on etsy.com (etsy has some pretty hawt stuff by the way!) And yeah I made a shift dress from the fabric which took me about an hour and a half in total
I wore the dress to a party and for that night I wore red shoes and made some bows out of the fabric to stick on them! I also wore these earrings from punkypins.co.uk which have a popart style face on them. Yeah, so this is the dress and me wearing it, just a post to say comic book style is coooooool and my claim on the fact I did it before Topshop so MEH!
WHOA, it's sideways...
PARTAY!
Topshop Playsuit
So we went after christmas sales shopping and totally abused them by buying stuff not on sale, but the sales weren't that good anyway -the pre christmas sales were actually better! Im hoping the sales get better when January starts but who knows...
Anyway I bought this shamazing playsuit from Topshop, it was £26 and actually from the swimwear section so it is probably meant for beachwear over bikinis and stuff. I worried that because of this it might be kinda see-through but it's not! Its definitely wearable anywhere in the summer! I definitely prefer dressing in summer because the clothes can be a lot nicer than winter and you don't need to carry coats, umbrellas, boots etc and what could be easier and nicer than a great playsuit!
I really like the pattern which is on trend at the moment and the colours work well together. I also think the style and cut would flatter a lot of body shapes as it has an elasticated waist and the bottom half has a nice shape to it.
The only thing was because it is from a swimwear section, it didnt come in actual dress sizes, it was Small, medium and large, which can be annoying as you dont know which one to get and it never fits as well as if you had your own specific size.
I will definitley be wearing it A LOT in summer and overall I would say GET YOURSELVES TO TOPSHOP!
Wish List - Topshop cream dress
 So many other people seem to be doing wishlists as it's coming up to Christmas, so here we go...
£50 cream crystal collar flip dress - Topshop - sizes UK 6-16
I first saw this dress in a magazine I recently read and immediately loved it, so it had to be my first wishlist post. This dress is a short cream dress with short sleeves, a cream lace waist band and a crystallised collar.
I really like the simplicity of the design of the dress with the hint of something more fun and sophisticated with the lace waist band and the collar with crystals on. I would wear this dress for a more formal/ dress up occasion rather than every day, and I would wear this dress more in summer than winter as it is quite short and light coloured.
The only negatives I can think of about this piece is the fact that it's white which can get dirty easily, however this could probably be avoided by the majority of people who are careful, also the price,  £50 is slightly too expensive for what I usually spend on a dress for no particular reason, however if there was an event or party coming up I would definitely consider buying this!
